Groups are a big deal at Shepherd’s House. We want everyone to experience intentional discipleship, meaningful relationships, and accountability that strengthens your life. We are a church growing in the Word, and growing together.
Shepherd Groups
Shepherd Groups focus on building Christian friendships, digging into God’s word, praying together, and caring for one another. These groups are typically life-stage based and include summer & holiday breaks. Shepherd groups use sermon material and elder-approved curriculum.
Discipleship Groups
Discipleship Groups are gender based groups that meet on a weekly basis and go through books of the Bible. A typical men’s or women’s group is efficient and focused, meeting for 60-70 minutes. All groups are led by qualified SHBC lay leaders, teachers, and pastors.
Shepherd Leaders You Can trust.
Shepherd Group leaders and Discipleship Group leaders are required to complete the membership process at SHBC, conduct an interview with an SHBC pastor, and go through leadership training. Discipleship Group teachers undergo further theological examination and are doctrinally aligned with SHBC in all areas of our official teaching statement.

Sign Up
We host “SIGN UP SUNDAYS” 3 times per year so everyone can have an opportunity to join a group.
COMMIT
Once sign ups are complete, we generally commit to 10-weeks of growing in the Word and growing together.
BREAKS
We take breaks and encourage people to rest with family, win at home, and be a light in the community.
